Two way satellite Internet for Travellers

Two way satellite Internet looks like being poised to be the next big thing for Australian travellers. For many travellers the major problem with exploring the great Australian outback is that it involves being cut-off from the rest of the world. While the major mobile phone companies make amazing claims like ‘we cover 95% of the Australian population’, in reality this represents less than 30% of the Australian land mass. If you want to visit the remaining 70% you will not receive any mobile phone coverage while you are there.
Enter two way satellite Internet. This is the Internet system that has been used by those living in remote areas for a number of years now.
Glen Croaker, from Australian Nomad Technologies, says that his company has developed a system that makes it simple and very cost effective for motorhomers and caravanners to enjoy Internet connectivity at broadband speeds, no matter where they choose to setup camp. The system also supports voice over IP (VoIP) and allows travellers to make low cost phone calls to any phone via the Internet. Plans start from $19/mth (which is amazing when you consider that I currently pay $30/mth to have a Telstra satellite phone active and about $80/mth for internet via a mobile phone network).

Why do you have adverts on your website?

As I am sure you can imagine, it costs both time and money to run the website. When people (just like you) click on one of those adverts, a tiny bit of credit is added to the Hobohome account. If you think our motorhome site has been useful, please think about supporting the site by supporting the companies that advertise on the site.
Thanks and enjoy our motorhome website - Gavin & Tracey.
