Free Satellite TV Guide for Australian Aurora
The Optus Aurora satellite television system provides TV services to both travellers and people living in remote locations. If, like us you like to watch a bit of TV to see what is going on in the world or how your favourite team is performing, the satellite based system is fantastic. The one major drawback is the almost total lack of an electronic program guide – so how do you know what is on and when?
Until now your options have been to search around the websites of the various providers – quite a mission.
Hobohome is very pleased to announce the “Aurora Guide”. This is a very well designed full program guide showing program listings, times and details for all Aurora providers.
You can see a instant overview of the program by simply hovering your mouse over the listing. Movies display their star rating and by clicking on the movie listing, you can instantly view the IMdB database listing for that movie (showing full details, plot and credits).
On first use, the Guide will ask you to select your time zone, from then on all program listings will be displayed in your local time.
The Aurora Guide is by far the best implementation of a guide for satellite users that I have seen and we are very pleased to be providing the hosting for this great free service.
Try it out now – go to http://hobohome.com/auroraguide/
A big thanks to Sean from Kalgoorlie for his coding of this great service.

What are those advertisments doing on the Hobohome Motorhome site?
I enjoy running the website - I like helping like minded people discover the wonderful lifestyle we live.
However it costs a lot of money each year to keep the site up and running. The advertisement that you see on the site
contributes a small amount to the running of the site each time one of the adverts is clicked on.
All that we ask is that if you enjoy our website, it you have found it useful that you consider supporting us by
simply supporting the companies that advertise on the site.
Many thanks - Gavin & Tracey.

We have a similar system in New Zealand. Freeview is pretty good for free. The kids show is pretty annoying because they repeat the same stuff all the time, I wish they spent a bit more money on educating our kids by having a good variety of shows.
