15-05-03 - The trip to Casino

This was the trip to Casino (a town near the Queensland NSW boarder - not a place to gamble). We treated this as a bit of a shake-down trip. We were interested in seeing how the newly renovated gearbox would perform.

The GPS and the external antenna were fitted for this trip. This allows us to record the track that we take. It also stores loads of other interesting info like speed and altitude.

Sunset by the lake. On the way up to Casino we spent
 the night at a camp on the edge of Lake Liddell.

The gearbox went very well and we enjoyed the trip. It was great to catch up with Trish and Ty, sadly we missed Mark and Gail.
We learned a few things about the rig. For example, the fridge did not like the heat. We are still deciding what to do about that.
